Promoting Alternative PL

#Continuity I liked the idea of presenting in a correct, clear, and concise way the topics that intend to bring to PL According to the (Five Simple Rules for Creating World-Changing Presentations, 2009) presents precisely the idea of how to motivate and reach the audience. When they talk about teachers' learning in a meaningful and continuous way, I agree, but I could add that it must be constant and verifiable. This is taking into account that information and resources are simply given in most cases, but finally, nobody verifies if they were used and less if it works. It just becomes a brainstorming or ideas that anybody cannot verify. For this reason, it is essential to provide support to the teachers and continue to monitor that the appropriate implementations are made. Then, it is verified that it works or fails to make the corrections or improvements in the case. Therefore, when I propose the idea of continuous learning, I mean that those who planned the PL cannot give resources and tools and leave them in oblivion. Again, in the following PL, they offer new resources or instructions.

The idea is to give continuity to what is intended for at least one or two years and then continue to monitor what worked and make improvements, nothing more. Teachers' initial exposure to a concept should not be passive but should engage teachers through varied approaches to actively understand a new practice. Modeling is very effective in helping teachers understand a new method. It is appropriate to present the project to the teachers to do it actively, hands-on so that she, under her own experience, can begin to model the same way to her students. The more concrete and specific the modeling of the project is, the teachers will be able to do it in the same way that they have learned. Also, they will not have to speculate about what to do and how to do it.
