This high school level course familiarizes students with viable procedures for learning the Spanish language and to be able to interact with different parts of the Spanish-speaking society.
 

This course strengthens communication through speaking and composing, providing the opportunity to talk and answer essential questions, understand and be able to answer questions and maintain basic conversations with appropriate speeches, participate in short discussions on recognizable topics and compose short sections.
 

Students also emphasize improving perceptual listening and reading skills, for example, reading little words and expressions in a situational setting and understanding short written or spoken headings. In addition, students will analyze the practices, elements, and points of view of the Spanish-speaking society; perceive fundamental routine acts of the Hispanic culture; perceive and use the appropriate non-verbal correspondence of the circumstances, and the opportunity to discover the Hispanic language and culture beyond the classroom.
